Fans Tell Iga Swiateck To Learn From Serena Williams A Great Tennis Woman That She Always Won

Iga Swiatek says she plans to learn from the examples of SERENA WILLIAMS, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic and react like they would in her current situation. In the US Open round-of-16, Swiatek suffered a shock loss to Jelena Ostapenko and the Pole has lost the world No 1 ranking.

On April 4th, 2022, Swiatek took the throne from Ashleigh Barty. After 75 consecutive weeks at the top spot, Swiatek will be ranked at No 2 next Monday as Aryna Sabalenka is set to be the new top-ranked player in the women’s game.

Swiatek, 22, is entering a new territory now as she has lost the world No 1 position for the first time in her career.
This is something that when I was younger, I actually kind of wanted to break some record or have something. I already did that ’cause I already won a Slam as a first Polish player. Obviously being No 1 is great, but for sure when it happens, when you lose it, there are some sad emotions.

All these great players know it’s going to come back if you’re going to work hard, focus on the right things, just develop as a player. Besides this match, which was pretty weird, I feel I am progressing as a player,” Swiatek added.

It will be interesting to see how will Swiatek do in the upcoming period after a very disappointing US Open campaign.
