Paige Spiranac has revealed she found a lump on her breast as she dealt with a health scare over the festive period.Some golf fans may have been left wondering why leading influencer Spiranac hasn’t been as active on her social media platforms of late.The 29-year-old has amassed a mammoth fanbase of 3.7million followers on Instagram, but has only posted one snap since December 8.And Spiranac has now explained to her huge following that there was an abnormality at a check up as she apologised for her apparent inactivity.
Taking to Instagram and Twitter, Spiranac detailed the health scare that forced her to have a biopsy. “Sorry for not being as active lately on social media,” Spiranac wrote. “I went on vacation then had to deal with my health.“During an annual check up, they found a lump in my breast. I recently had to get a biopsy done. It came back negative which I’m so grateful for!” Spiranac has also used her own situation to encourage her own followers to get check ups and thank fans for their constant support.She continued: “A reminder to always get your check ups and also that you never know what people are going through behind closed doors so extending kindness is so important.
“I want to thank you guys for always sending so much love and support my way.”Fans flooded Spiranac with messages of support and were relieved that the former professional had been given the all clear. “Thank god you are ok! Great reminder for all of us,” one fan replied. “Thanks for your candor and openness. You’re the best for using your platform to encourage/remind everyone to do their appropriate tests,” another added.Spiranac played on the Cactus Tour in 2016 but has stepped away from her pro golf dream and now has a huge profile providing tips to golf fans online across the world.
