TikTok star ends social media blackout
Internet personality and brother of NFL star Patrick, Jackson Mahomes has felt obliged to limit his social media interactions lately after a huge backlash.
Jackson Mahomes, 22, had taken some time away from his socials after being accused of sexual assault.
Of course, time away for someone who has made his name through social media and on the coattails of his brother’s talent, doesn’t mean a trye blackout.
Mahomes had been less active, but still shared stories on his Instagram account. There were no new posts, though, as he attempted to keep a slightly lower profile.
New post from Jackson Mahomes
That streak is over now, though, as Mahomes recently posted a photo of himself smiling in casual clothes. There was a catch, though, that fans and observers were quick to notice.
Mahomes has turned off comments to avoid criticism and haters, which he has been receiving a lot of lately.
Assault allegations
Recently a 40-year-old restaurant owner in Kansas City accused Jackson of forcibly kissing her without consent. There is even video evidence which has gone viral.
“He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere. And I’m telling him, pushing him off saying ‘What are you doing?’ Then he proceeded to do it two more times, where the last time I was pushing him off,” the owner had allegedFurther criticism
This isn’t the first time that Jackson’s public behaviour has been the subject of online criticism. Other social media users frequently criticise his actions, such as when he criticised a bar online.
In said incident, Jackson claimed he had been given bad service and encouraged others not to frequent the establishment, which affected their business.
Some observers pointed out that his complaints were not well founded and that his behaviour was needlessly harming a business.
