Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce sported dapper suits in a photoshoot showcasing the team’s captains for the 2024 playoffs.Along with them, the Chiefs elected four other players, spanning multiple positions, into captaincy. Joining the faces of the team are cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, defensive tackle Chris Jones, kicker Harrison Butker and punter Tommy Townsend.

Kelce recently spoke about the honor of being named a captain as they enter the postseason in hopes of winning their second straight title.’I think coach [Andy] Reid does the captains deal for the team a little bit different than a lot of other coaches throughout the league,’ said Kelce. ‘Throughout the year, we have multiple captains. The captains change every single gameday.

‘When it comes to the playoffs, he lets the players vote on who the captains are and who the guys are that emerged throughout the entire season whose gonna lead us into battle for the remainder of the season.’

The quarterback wore an ash grey suit on top of a white shirt and black tie. The matching pants were tapered while a pair of black dress shoes completed the outfit.

Meanwhile their star tight end Kelce sported a doubled-breasted light grey suit with small black and white stripes. Kelce also wore a white dress shirt and black tie. As for footwear, he went for a more athletic approach by wearing a pair of black and grey Nikes.

The reigning champions completed their first of four hurdles towards a successful title defense by defeating the Miami Dolphins in the wildcard round.Their 26-7 win over Miami punched them a ticket to a divisional playoff match against the Bills on Sunday. Buffalo defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 31-17, in the wildcard round to advance.

After a 6-1 start to the season, the Chiefs failed to tie consecutive wins until their last two games to finish with a 11-6 record on top of the AFC West.Mahomes hopes to lead the Chiefs to a win in his first road playoff game, with the exception of Super Bowls.
