Coming into the 2023 NFL season, the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs were thought to be sorely lacking on the offensive side of the football, with the wide receiver position needing some upgrades.
Even though the Chiefs uncharacteristically struggled at times during the regular season, Patrick Mahomes and company were able to do enough to win the AFC West division title and clinch a playoff spot, which is all they needed to succeed
Ultimately, even though the Baltimore Ravens were thought to be the cream of the crop in the AFC, the Chiefs were able to defy the odds and return to the Super Bowl to face the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Despite being the underdog in the big game against Brock Purdy’s squad, Andy Reid’s team was able to win it all once again, becoming the first team to win back-to-back titles since Tom Brady’s New England Patriots.
With the Chiefs having another incredible season and having the opportunity to be the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls next year, Mahomes is taking it easy during the offseason and apparently loving ice cream at the same time, via Dov Kleiman.
