The Kansas City Chiefs sent Charlotte a package that included a signed photo, signed collector card and certificate. The franchise and quarterback heard about Holt’s admiration of Mahomes thanks to her neighbor, Rebecca Bloom. “I contacted them multiple times,” Rebecca told the publication. “I told them she was a 91-year-old hospice patient and loved Patrick Mahomes.”
Jackie Bartholomai, Charlotte’s daughter, told the outlet that her mother was expecting the package, but that it didn’t make it any less exciting for her. “She was on the BiPap machine, and before we could get her off, she was ripping the package open,” she said. Jackie was almost in tears when she saw how excited her mom got upon receiving the Mahomes-themed package. “It meant so much to her”.
Charlotte’s daughter and neighbor both get a kick out of Holt’s admiration for the two-time Super Bowl winning QB. “She could be her grandson”, they chuckled.
