Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are going strong. As the pop superstar, 34, continues to support the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, also 34, at his games, a source tells PEOPLE exclusively the couple remain “really happy” together.
“They’re having a lot of fun, but they’re still seeing where it goes,” adds the source of the stars, who began dating shortly after Kelce revealed in late July on his New Heights podcast that he had tried to shoot his shot with Swift after her concert.
Since attending her first game in September, Swift has been consistently cheering on her boyfriend alongside his loved ones, including mom Donna, dad Ed and Kelce’s longtime friends.
Last weekend she was seen interacting with fans at Arrowhead Stadium, where the Chiefs beat the Dolphins 7-3 in below-zero temperatures.
In a wide-ranging cover story with WSJ. Magazine, Kelce opened up about his relationship with Swift, acknowledging he’s “never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them.”
But at the same time, I’m not running away from any of it … The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she’s just living, enjoying life,” he told the outlet.
When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” said the Grammy winner. “The opposite of that is you have to go to the extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. We’re just proud of each other.”
Swift is currently on a break from her record-breaking Eras Tour and is set to return to the stage next month.
In November Kelce flew to Buenos Aires during his bye week to cheer on his girlfriend at her show, where he was seen singing and dancing along to every song. After the show, the couple delighted fans when Swift ran into his arms for a romantic kiss after changing the lyrics to her song “Karma,” giving Kelce a shoutout: “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.”
