Patrick and Brittany Mahomes reached a lot of milestones in their relationship this past year. Not only did the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback make his third Super Bowl appearance in February of 2023, but he also married his high school sweetheart, and the duo welcomed their second child, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III. On March 12, 2023, one year after their nuptials, the duo revisited their special day and took to social media to mark the occasion.
Brittany, a former soccer star, uploaded several throwback photos from their wedding in Maui to commemorate the occasion. In the carousel are images of the duo standing at the altar in front of their white floral arch and seaside backdrop, dancing on stage at their reception, kissing in front of their multi-tier watercolor cake covered in a cascade of blooms, and taking photos at sunset featuring the scenic view. “Happy 1st Anniversary🥹🤍,” Brittany writes on Instagram. “One of the best weeks of my life, marrying your best friend it’s one of the greatest things you could do! 🙏🏼. After his wife made a tribute to their special day on Instagram, Patrick also dedicated a post to their wedding and first anniversary. The NFL player shared a snap of the couple sharing a peck in the middle of their aisle after being pronounced husband and wife. In the photo, the bride is wearing a custom Versace wedding dress with a corset top featuring bold cut-outs, sparkly embellishments, and a billowing train. The groom is sporting a gray suit with sparkly black shoes. “1 year ❤️,” his caption says.
