Travis Kelce has revealed how his dad Ed is often duped by social media speculation about his relationship with Taylor Swift.
The Chiefs star has been in London recently to support his popstar girlfriend during the latest leg of her Eras Tour – even dancing with her on stage at Wembley over the weekend.
But it turns out that Ed Kelce is routinely worried that the romance is on the rocks after reading rumors on Facebook.
His younger son Travis recently appeared on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast and he revealed how he has to reassure his dad over his relationship.
‘Do you know what he’ll do? He’ll see some wild s*** come across and be like: “What the f*** is this?”‘ Kelce said.
It’ll be something so f***ing out of the blue – something about me and Taylor. (He will ask) “Hey are you guys ok?”
I’m like: “Dad, get the f*** off Facebook. Are you f***ing kidding me?” That’s his search engine.’
The couple’s romance took over the NFL last season as Swift followed Kelce’s pursuit of a second successive Super Bowl.
And the Chiefs tight end opened up on the pressures of keeping a lid on such a high-profile relationship.
‘You want to keep things private, but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything. That’s my girl, you know what I mean? That’s my lady, so it’s like… I’m proud of that,’ Kelce added.
I’m not sitting here trying to juggle like: “How can I keep this under wraps?” You just don’t want to let everyone into your personal life and be able to comment on it, knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.’
