Later this month, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift will celebrate their official one-year anniversary of dating. Ahead of the big day, a source told People that Kelce and Swift feel like their love is unlike any either has had before.
“They really are very, very happy together,” the source said. “They’re very serious about each other, and the relationship feels different for both of them.”
That source spoke about what makes them so compatible: “They have so much fun together, and it just works. It’s funny to their friends, because at first everyone wondered what they had in common, but you realize how similar they are. They both wear their hearts on their sleeves and are all-in with everything they do, whether it’s with career, family or friends.”
They also addressed how Kelce has been making their current long-distance period special, as Swift continues the European leg of her Eras Tour. “Football is definitely still his priority but so is his relationship,” that insider shared. “He makes romantic gestures to show he’s thinking of her when they’re apart. She’s going to try to attend as many games as possible.”
Kelce’s most recent romantic gesture included flying over 5,000 miles from Los Angeles to attend Swift’s Sunday concert in Dublin. The NFL player had been in Calabasas, California, for a wedding Saturday.
It’s unclear whether Kelce will remain in Europe this week and attend Swift’s Amsterdam shows, which begin Thursday. He remains in his offseason until July 21, when he’ll begin training camp for the Kansas City Chiefs.
