Scarlett Oliver, a nine-year-old cancer patient from Perth who got her dying wish to meet Taylor Swift during her Australian tour earlier this year, has passed away, her father has confirmed.

Scarlett made headlines when the singer gave the young Swiftie one of her trademark fedora hats during her performance of ’22’.

Scarlett had only been given 12-18 months to live after she was diagnosed with high-grade glioma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Her father, Paul, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram on Sunday, which read:

“My Angel, so strong, so brave, so beautiful ❤️,

“Nothing will ever be the same again.

“Don’t forget me and please find a way to let me know you are ok.

“Goodnight baby, I love you – Dad ,

“It’s just not fair .”

‘Weeks rather than months’
Paul had revealed earlier this month that his “beautiful” daughter hadn’t been doing very well recently, and had “weeks rather than months” left.
“We have spent much of the school holidays in hospital due to complications with the tube, constant vomiting and extreme tiredness,” he shared at the time.
